Can the WS-6215 be installed in countries outside the United States? + −
Yes — absolutely. Because the WS-6215 accepts 120V to 277V AC, it is fully compatible with the mains voltages used in virtually every country worldwide. Whether your project is in North America (120V), Europe (230V), the UK (230V), Australia (230V), Asia (220–240V), the Middle East (220–240V), or any other region, the WS-6215 will operate correctly without any voltage conversion or modification.
Does the fixture need to be rewired or reconfigured for different countries? + −
No. The integrated LED driver within the WS-6215 is designed to accept any input voltage between 120V and 277V automatically. Electricians simply connect it to the local mains supply following standard local wiring codes — no internal adjustments, jumper changes, or voltage-tap selections are needed.
Does the 0-10V dimming control signal change between countries? + −
No. The 0-10V dimming signal is a low-voltage DC control signal — it is completely independent of the AC mains supply voltage and operates identically in every country. Whether the fixture is powered from 120V in the U.S. or 230V in Germany, the dimming behavior and control wiring remain exactly the same.
What dimmer or controller do I need? + −
The WS-6215 requires a 0-10V compatible dimmer or lighting controller — separate from the main AC power switch. Any standard 0-10V dimmer (also labeled "0–10V" or "low-voltage dimming controller") from a reputable manufacturer is compatible. Your electrician will run a separate low-voltage control wire pair (typically purple + and gray −) alongside the main power wiring to the fixture.
Will the fixture turn off completely when the dimmer is set to zero? + −
At 0V the fixture dims to its minimum output level but does not fully switch off. To completely turn the WS-6215 off, the AC mains power to the fixture must be switched off — either via a wall switch or through a relay integrated into your control system. This is standard behavior for all 0-10V dimming fixtures.
